To create an offset bend:
- Be sure the rising shoe is at the full down position.
- Place the conduit to be bent into the traveling shoe and the rising shoe.
- Position the pipe in the rising shoe. The length of the pipe that extends beyond the right edge of the rising shoe will be beyond the offset.
- Close the rising shoe front abutment over the pipe.
- Use the Standard Multiplier to place the red arrow on the traveling shoe to point to the appropriate number of the bending deck.
- Determine how far the rising shoe should be raised adding the Springback Formula.
- Turn the crank on the machine to raise the rising shoe to the desired height. The traveling shoe will automatically follow and create the second and equal bend.
